After with the wallace boys

My first order of business today is focused on Aiden. He read his first chapter book. At six years old I give him kudos!
We are very happy for him! It was amazing that he could concentrate on reading while Liam was banging on the piano and Marion was running around. He even drew a picture of his favorite part of the book.
He wanted to keep it black and white so that you could see all the detail.
Here is the picture he got this from.

Liam also had to draw a picture to post.
We think he said this was Godzilla.

Boys book case

We have had this ugly book case in the garage since August of last year. It took me six months to
figure out what to do with it. Finally after oraganizing the boys room,I decided it would go in there.

I even let the boys pick out the colors... from a limited color pallet :) The purple and yellow they originally wanted wouldn't go over to well with their father. We like it, especially since it was inexpensive.

Old table has new life

I have a new blog just for crafts please check it out!    http://thecrafterbug.blogspot.com/The table I painted was free and it was on the back patio ever sense we moved into our house.
2 1/2 years ago. It was collecting black widows and my husband was using it to do dog training.
I have decided that one of my goals this year is to get all the projects done that I have been putting off.
I am turning 30 in September and I want to start off a new decade with fresh ideas.
I didn't take pictures of all the steps ,but I will tell you how I fixed this.
 #1 sanded down
#2 wood filler and wood glued
#3 primer
#4 2-3 layers latex paint all over

#5 Drew with white colored pencil design. I got my inspiration from a calender I have.
#6 Painted with tole paint
#7 sanded distessed
#8 Chestnut stained and wiped off
#9 Sprayed with Spray varnish
                                                                    *Voila*
